"Reporters without borders" called to Ukraine to seriously investigate cases of Velychko and Serhatskova

12.08.2020, 02:24

International advocacy organization “Reporters without borders” called to Ukrainian government to guarantee safety for, and to expediently investigate the cases of Liubov Velychko and Kateryna Serhatskova, who were threatened via the Internet. This was published on August 9 at the website of the organization, “Detector media” informs.

"In both cases, the journalists who received threats asked the authorities about protection, yet until now no one was arrested and brought to responsibility. It is inadmissible that the journalists are under deadly threat because of their job. We call to the authorities to do everything necessary to protect them and to secure serious investigation of both cases", head of the Eastern Europe and Central Asia of "Reporters without borders" Jeanne Cavelier said.
