"Rayon in.ua" claimed about hacker attempt to delete all materials on its website

The editorial board of the Volyn site "Rayon in.ua" claimed its website was hacked in an attempt to delete all the materials published over four years the website exists, as the edition reported on its Facebook page.

The editorial board noted the incident occured on the evening of November 8.

“The site's technical professionals could restore 99.99% of the lost information. The editorial office has already resumed its usual work and is preparing to appeal to the law enforcement agencies, ” the message reads.

Natalia Pakhaychuk, editor-in-chief of “Rayon in.ua”, told the IMI representative that a special software had been operating that destroyed information on the site from 7:17 pm to 9:00 pm.

“It all was gone instantaneously at 9pm. Our programmers recovered the information in an hour, because we had a backup of the site. We do not exclude hooliganism or political motives. Lately, we have published some stories which could displease to someone, ”she said.
