Supervisory board to elect chairman of UA:PBC board
Today, on April 27, the second stage of the competitive selection for the position of the Chairman of the Board of UA:PBC (formerly National Public Television and Radio Broadcasting Company of Ukraine, NPTU) is to take place, as “Detektor Media” reported.
The meeting will begin at 11:00 at the address: Kyiv, st. Khreshchatyk, 26 (Ukrainian Radio House), 2nd floor, Radio Hub. The final part of the competition will be broadcast on the YouTube page "UA: Pershyy".
To the second stage of the competition the Supervisory Board admitted four candidates to position of the Chairman of the Board of the National Public Television and Radio Company of Ukraine : Vitaliy Dokalenko, Oksana Tsybula, Mykola Chernotytsky and Andriy Shapovalov.
According to the regulations, at the second stage of the competition the supervisory board will hear the UA:PBC development programs and will vote for the chairman. The applicants will speak in alphabetical order of their names. Each of them will have 20 minutes for the presentation. After that, the members of the supervisory board have the right to ask him / her an unlimited number of questions.
After hearing all the applicants, the NPTU Supervisory Board will adjourn the meeting for up to one hour of discussion.
Voting for applicants takes place in two rounds. The first round of voting takes place in the method of direct, equal, secret ballot of members of the Supervisory Board by filling in written anonymous ballots by members of the Supervisory Board of NPTU.
If during the first round of voting one of the candidates gets the majority of votes of members from the general membership of the NPTU Supervisory Board, such candidate is considered elected to the position of the Chairman of the Board of NPTU.
If, as a result of the first round of voting, none of the candidates has been elected to the position of the Chairman of the Board of NPTU, the second round of voting shall be held.
If in the second round of voting none of the candidates was elected to the position of the Chairman of the Board, the Supervisory Board may adjourn the meeting for up to one hour for consultations, after which a second ballot shall be held.
The results of the competitive selection are published on the official website of the NPTU within three hours of its completion and are announced on the air of the NPTU on the day of the election of the new Chairman of the Board of the NPTU.
Within 30 calendar days from the date of announcement of the winner of the competitive selection, the contract is signed between the chairman of the supervisory board on behalf of the supervisory board of NPTU and the newly elected chairman of the board of NPTU.
The Supervisory Board of NPTU holds a meeting to elect members of the Board of NPTU no later than 10 calendar days from the date of taking office. At the meeting on the election of members of the NPTU Board, each candidate is given 15 minutes to present his / her activity plan as a member of the NPTU Board within a certain area of activity.
It will be recalled that on March 2, the NPTU Supervisory Board announced a competition for the position of Chairman of the Board of the Public Broadcaster and approved the terms of the competition.
