Poroshenko requests the Parliament to cancel e-declaration for civil activists

President Petro Poroshenko requests the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada to cancel the requirement on obligation of civil activists to file electronic declarations. This was the statement by the parliamentary representative of the President, Iryna Lutsenko, at the meeting of the coordination council on January 15, “Ukrainska pravda” reports.
As IMI reported before, on March 30, 2017, in Ukraine, amendments of the law "On prevention of corruption" were adopted, according to which members of anti-corruption NGOs are obliged to file electronic declarations. The amendments were criticized by many countries (in particular, by Canada, the USA, and the EU) and NGOs, both national and international.
