Police investigates into obstruction of work of TV crew

The police in Kyiv have opened criminal proceedings over the fact of obstruction of professional activity to the journalists of one of the TV channels, as it was reported on the website of the National Police of the city of Kiev.

The incident occurred on October 6 near the Lukyanovsky market in the Shevchenkivskyi district.

Around 3:25 p.m. on Illyenko Street a row emerged with a security guard, when the journalist was shooting a story. The man interfered with the journalists and tried to damage the TV equipment.

The police investigative unit documented the offense, auditioned the claimant and the cameraman.

On this fact, the Investigation Department of the Shevchenkiv Police Directorate opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 171 ("Obstruction of the Legal Professional Activity of Journalists") of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
