05.12.2024, 18:32

Photographer, soldier Oleksandr Zakletskyi's Kyiv apartment burned down completely and his mother is in intensive care with burns. He is asking for help.

Oleksandr reported this on Facebook on December 5 and shared the details in a comment to the Institute of Mass Information.

Zakletskyi says the fire occurred yesterday, December 4. He had spoken with his mother in the evening, and then an acquaintance called him, saying that "the apartment is on fire, and Mom has been taken to intensive care with burns and gas poisoning."

Oleksandr was in Donetsk oblast at the time. He says the apartment burned down completely.

“One room burned down completely, the second one suffered very badly from heat, smoke, and water. My mother is in the burn center intensive care unit and is still unconscious, the doctors are making every effort, but they say that the situation is difficult.

"The apartment is unlivable, but leaving it in this state is also impossible, because it will create problems for other residents of the building. I do not know how much the repair will cost, but I am asking you for help," he wrote, adding that he would be grateful for "every penny, like, share, comment."
