Palytsia explained why journalists in Volynska oblast council were searched

Head of Volyn Oblast Council Ihor Palytsia claims that his security guards who were conducting searches of journalists on December 8 with a metal detector, was conducting measures against terrorism, Vholos reports.

Journalists of Odesa media outlet told VolynPost that there was a similar security system in place in Odesa, when Playtsia was the head of Odesa Oblast State Administration.

Chief editor of the media outlet of Odesa "Dumskaya" Oleh Konstantinov commented that Palytsia is very concerned about his personal security - he has his own small private army of security guards who searched those who enter the public buildings. "Of course, there is no law permitting to do this, it was a gross violation of citizens' rights", Konstantinov added.
