Odesa press officer Ivan Kapsamun severely wounded in action
Ivan Kapsamun, born in Vynogradivka village (Odesa oblast), was severely wounded at the front on July 14.
As Ivan Kapsamun told the IMI representative in Odesa oblast, that day he was accompanying a group of Ukrainian journalists to the territories liberated in the latest counteroffensive.
According to Ivan, their car hit an anti-tank mine, which resulted in him having bone fractures of both legs.
"It was another trip to the front line. It wasn't foreigners I was bringing there, they were Ukrainian war reporters. These territories are very densely mined, and it so happened that, we ran into an anti-tank mine with our car. My part of the car suffered the most. Other colleagues suffered less – no serious injuries. Both my legs are broken in numerous places, but everything is in place. I have some burns, the incident was a bit rough on my hands. Now I am already in the hospital, being treated. Everything will be fine, I will go through rehab, and we will definitely defeat the enemy!" said Ivan Kapsamun.
