Occupation authorities in Crimea say the "urgent air raid PSA" is a radio attack
Radio stations in the temporarily occupied Crimea broadcast an "urgent air raid PSA", offering the listeners an action plan in the event of an air raid.
The radio recording was posted, in particular, by the Telegram-channel Crimean Wind.
"Urgent PSA! In the event of an air raid alert proceed quickly to the nearest shelter. Avoid panel buildings, critical and military infrastructure facilities. Do not pick up unidentified objects, they may be explosive. Have a go bag with basic survival necessities packed and ready," the recording says.
It is also noted that in the event there is no proper connection with mainland Russia, evacuation ferries will be arranged.
At the same time, the occupying authorities of Crimea and Sevastopol called this PSA an information attack.
The statement was shared by the occupiers-backed Kryminform agency.
"We are getting reports of the radio signal of one radio station after another being hacked. The information on evacuation from the peninsula by ferry crossings and such other nonsense. Of course, it's a lie," wrote the occupying Sevastopol Mayor Mikhail Razvozhaev.
According to him, the situation has to do with an unsuccessful drone attack on the city.
The "adviser" of the occupying head of Crimea, Oleg Kryuchkov, also stated that all such announcements broadcast by Crimean radio stations are false.
"Several radio stations in Crimea have been hacked. The transmitters are being switched off to eliminate the causes of the break-in," he wrote.
As IMI reported, on February 23, 2023, the day before the anniversary of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, someone streamed and address by Kyrylo Budanov, head of the DI MOD, on Gazprom's radio in Crimea.
"Citizens of Ukraine, this is Kyrylo Budanov speaking. Ukraine is taking back all the captured territories – the Donbas, the AR Crimea, and the entire Ukrainian South will be back home forever. We will find every traitor, no matter where they hide. They will all be eliminated. To all patriots, this is the time to act. Wait for us. We are coming to you. Glory to Ukraine," the radio address said.
