NickVesti to sue head of Mykolayv regional council for failure to respond
It has been a month since the head of the Mykolaiv regional council Victoria Moskalenko failed to answer to the request for information the local edition of NikVesti addressed to her concerning use of budgetary funds. The editorial board intends to file a claim, as NikVesti reported on its website.
A journalist with NickVesti edition Kateryna Sreda filed an information request on October 9. But till now, no reply has been received.
As IMI reported, the RFI concerned the contract concluded on August 1 between the Mykolaiv regional council and the private entrepreneur Nerko Oleg Anatolyevich for providing information services for the total sum of 40 thousand hryvnias.
As the journalist Kateryna Sereda told, NickVesta is going to make an appeal to the Ombudsman for human rights at the parliament over failure of Victoria Moskalenko to reply to the information request, as well as to seize the court in order to oblige the official to provide the requested information.
Besides that, the edition also intends to file a complaint to the law enforcement bodies due to allegedly offense related to misuse of budget funds by the head of the regional council Victoria Moskalenko.
