Near Kyiv, journalists of "Nashi Hroshi", who were filming the story about Avakov's vice, were assaulted

30.04.2015, 13:15

On April 28, in the village of Lisnyky, Kyivska oblast, unidentified men attacked the filming crew of the journalist investigations program “Nashi Hroshi” ("Our money") (the TV channel ZIK).

Journalist Nadiya Burdey and cameramen Mykhalo Shelest and Rustam Rashydov were preparing a story about construction of a house in the forest (on the territory of the natural reserve) that supposedly belongs to the family of the Vice-Minister of Internal Affairs Serhiy Chebotar. The journalists discovered in the area a car belonging to Chebotar's wife, Varvara.

The journalists were approached by a "Volkswagen" without number plates, and three men from that car took the video records from the journalists by force, and escaped. The journalists recognized in one of the attackers a man whom they saw earlier on the territory of the house. The journalists called the police and filed an official complaint.
