MezhyhiryaFest postponed due to war

18.05.2022, 16:11

The Media Development Foundation has announced the postponement of the MezhyhiryaFest and the National Investigative Journalism Competition award ceremony approximately until the fall of 2022.

"We believe in our Armed Forces and plan to meet with you in the fall. But we are not yeat ready to announce the exact dates. At the moment, our team is making every effort to help the regional media work and evolve during wartime. And of course, all the works that have been submitted to the competition remain on the competition agenda," the statement reads.

On the occasion of the Journalist's Day, the Media Development Foundation promises to hold some event, but does not specify what it will be.

We remind that the Media Development Foundation had planned to announce the results of the National Investigative Journalism Competition at the award ceremony on the first day of MezhyhiryaFest – June 4.

The national competition for investigative journalism and special reporting was founded in 2014 by YanukovychLeaks, Media Development Foundation, and the Kyiv Post newspaper with the support of SCOOP and the participation of Ukrainska Pravda online publication.

The Media Development Foundation is a media expertise center for the empowerment of journalists and media organizations in Eastern Europe and the Eastern Partnership countries.
