Media silence needed, says Humenyuk about the fighting on the left bank of Kherson oblast
The Ukrainian military continues the "clean-up" of the strip on the Dnipro's left bank in Kherson oblast. However, until the end of combat work, informational silence is needed.
This RBC-Ukraine reports this, citing the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine spokeswoman, Nataliya Humenyuk.
She noted that over the past three days, the Ukrainian army has made some success in the south: they destroyed 13 to 22 items of Russian military equipment.
"We are successfully destroying the enemy's artillery installations, tanks, armored vehicles, and anti-aircraft defense equipment. That is, our efforts to clear the strip, the forward lane of the left bank, are quite powerful. But so far we are only working in counter-battery mode," Humenyuk said.
She also emphasized that the Ukrainian military needed media silence to continue until the combat missions are complete, and urged Ukrainians not to comment on the work of the Armed Forces, to have faith in good news and in our defenders.
As IMI reported, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Malyar, urged the public not to disclose the death of servicepeople before official confirmation.
