Malyar explains how the occupiers are using the upcoming Ukrainian counteroffensive to intimidate the locals
The Russian occupiers are using the upcoming Ukrainian counteroffensive to intimidate Ukrainians in the temporarily captured territories of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts. In this way, they are trying to compel the locals to evacuate to Russia.
The RBC-Ukraine reports this, citing the Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar's statement at a briefing.
"We have information from the DI that the Russian occupiers have stepped up their efforts to intimidate the population in the temporarily occupied territories. They are spreading false information about the alleged negative consequences of Ukrainian rule coming back as a result of the UAF counteroffensive," said the Deputy Minister.
According to Malyar, people are being intimidated with the prospect of Ukraine possibly getting back the land that is its by law.
"In such a way, the Russian occupation administrations are compelling the population of certain districts of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson oblasts to urgently evacuate to the so-called safe regions of the Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea," she added.
According to her, the command of the occupying forces in Crimea have forcibly arranged for the evacuees to perform the most difficult work on the construction of engineering and fortification structures, supervised by armed Russian soldiers.
We remind you that Deputy Minister of Defense, Hanna Malyar, has explained that only three people are authorized to talk about the UAF plans: President Volodymyr Zelensky, UAF Commander-in-Chief, Valery Zaluzhny, and Minister of Defense, Oleksiy Reznikov.
