Madonna banned from Texas radio station after her critics towards new President

25.01.2017, 12:32

Texarkana’s Classic Hits station – HITS 105 is taking all Madonna songs off the air in the station’s local programming indefinitely following the singer’s comments over the weekend. This is statement posted on Facebook page, Unian reports.

HITS 105, in Texarkana, Texas, issued a statement in response to her comments she made during the Women's March.

General Manager of HITS 105, Terry Thomas, says “banning all Madonna songs at HITS 105 is not a matter of politics, it’s a matter of patriotism. He also called other radio stations "took their lead from us, that would send a powerful economic message to Madonna."

Recall, January 21, Madonna joined the March of Women in Washington in solidarity with the thousands of women who protested after the inauguration of President Donald Trump.

The singer, who has expressed her dislike for Trump from the start of his campaign, came on the scene in Washington, stating: "Welcome to the Revolution of Love, to the Rebellion, to our refusal as women to accept this new age ot tirany. We are not just women in a danger, but all marginalized people". "It took this horrific moment of darkness to wake us up. It seems that as though we all had slipped into a false sense of comfort that justice will prevail and that good will win in the end," - she noted.
