On March 13, 2013, a Lviv city council official did not let journalist of Varianty online-edition Yuriy Kardashevskiy to attend a meeting of the commission, which was due to prepare proposals for the rental property of Lviv territorial community, Varianty reported.

The official argued that journalists had never come at such meetings, and that the media were invited only to a public tender. 

However, the newspaper writes, the announcement about the meeting was published on the website of the Lviv City Council, and it was not indicated that the media access was restricted.
