Law enforcers open a case after Radio Krym.Realii equipment is stolen by the occupants
Law enforcers have begun a pre-trial investigation over the theft of Radio Krym.Realii equipment. Kherson region prosecutor's office reported this.
The criminal proceeding was opened due to the fact of violation of laws and customs of warfare (part 1 of article 438 of CC of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, during the enemy's attack on Kherson region territory near Chonhar checkpoint the occupants cut off the "Radio Krym.Realii" transmitters and robbed the room where equipment was stored. One of the transmitters has likely been taken to the temporarily occupied Crimea territory.
As the prosecutor's office states, the described actions indicate violation of Article 147 of the Geneva Convention IV Additional Protocol I, 08.06.1977, by the members of russian armed forces.
It has been stated that law enforcers are taking all possible and appropriate measures to identify the circumstances of the theft and the persons involved.
As IMI has reported, on February 24, the day of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the russian occupants cut off the transmitters of Radio Krym.Realii station that had been broadcasting from a tower in Chonhar village, Kherson region. On March 4 unknown persons took a transmitter for broadcasting at 648 АМ frequence in the direction of the occupied Crimea.
