“Krymska svitlytsia” will seek sources of financing of the government ceases to support it

08.08.2017, 17:51
The editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Krymska Svitlytsia” Viktor Merzhvynskyi said that if the Ukrainian government ceases funding the media outlet, the newspaper's management will seek new sources of income. On August 7, Merzhvynskyi told Krym.Realii about this when he commented on lack of funds for financing the newspaper. In autumn, the newspaper plans to officially request all relevant governmental agencies about the situation, and in case the newspaper "is not needed", the administration will take measures to seek independent sources of income. So far, the government has given no definitive answer as to whether it plans to finance newspaper. "Krymska Svitlytsia" was established in Crimea in 1992.
