PJSC "Cukrohydromach Hydraulic Machine Factory" filed a lawsuit against CBN and its editor-in-chief Andriy Lysenko. This was reported by the IMI representative in Kirovohrad oblast.

The company demands that the publication refutes the information presented in their October 14 article "Kropyvnytsky enterprise has been sanctioned by the NSDC", to publicly admit it is unreliable, humiliating, and violating the factory's right to business reputation.

The company also demands that the defendants be prohibited from spreading negative and unreliable information about "Cukrohydromach".

Commenting on the lawsuit to IMI, Andriy Lysenko noted, "A day or two after the article was published, they (Aurum Group) wrote us a letter demanding to take it down and apologize. If the court decides that I have to do it, I will do it. But I'm not going to delete anything just because a company demands it."

The journalist also published an excerpt from the letter: "...All of the above makes one think that the article was commissioned with the sole purpose of spreading negative content about our company and popularizing the regional publication at the expense of a well-known company and persons of authority. We are ready to have a talk with you, where we will compare our understanding of the word 'journalism' and find the right solution to the situation without escalating it to a critical point.

"In turn, we suggest you delete the 17.10 article by the end of the day, write a rebuttal and apologize. Otherwise, our lawyers have to prosecute you for spreading false information and to take the case to court."

On November 21, after accepting the lawsuit filed by "Cukrohydromach Hydraulic Machine Factory", the Leninsky District Court dismissed it, as the plaintiff did not pay the court fee in full (they payed UAH 992.4 instead of UAH 9,924). The plaintiff also failed to list Andriy Lysenko's full name and patronymic, the day, month, and year of his birth, his address, and zip code. The company has been given five days to address the issue.
