Dobrovelychivka village council (Kirovohrad oblast) reported in September 2025 that the newspaper Silske Zhyttia had been commissioned to cover the work of the local executive authorities. The contract is worth 40 thousand hryvnias. Information to that effect was posted on the procurement page in the Prozorro system, said Pavlo Lisnychenko, the Institute of Mass Information representative in Kirovohrad oblast.

The council has not uploaded the signed contract to Prozorro, so the number and price of the commissioned material is currently unclear. The listed phone numbers are also different from that of the Dobrovelychivka village council.

It is worth noting that this is the second time that the council has commissioned a news outlet to cover its work. The first contract for 49,950 hryvnias was signed in January 2025 and listed the same contractor: the private company Silske Zhyttia.

The print publication and the village council started cooperating in 2020, signing a total of 30 contracts worth 370.9 thousand hryvnias in total since.

In the same year, 2020, Silske Zhyttia co-owner and Dobrovelychivka resident Larysa Lapa was elected a deputy to the Novoukrainka district council from the “Servant of the People” party. Before that, from 2015 to 2020, the businesswoman, who was also the newspaper’s chief editor, served on the Dobrovelychivka village council as a deputy.

In 2020, the second co-owner of the publication, Tetyana Karpenko, also ran for the same village council, but did not get enough votes to receive a mandate.
