Journalists of Vinnytsia.info website were told to delete photos

29.05.2014, 14:00

On May 21, in Vinnytsia unidentified men tried to force the journalists of the Vinnytsia.info website to delete all photos they made of these men loading agitation materials of a suspicious origin. It was part of a conflict between local HQs of the presidential candidates Yulia Tymoshenko and Petro Poposhenko, as Poroshenko’s representatives claimed that Tymoshenko’s supporters distributed newspapers containing slur against Poroshenko, which were printed with violations of the legislation.

The website’s journalists noticed several men loading packages of the newspaper ‘Vechirni Visti’ and made several photos. One of Tymoshenko’s supporters commented on arrival of the journalists that they were bandits. And another one did not like that the journalists made a photo of him and demanded to delete it. The police at the site did not intervene.
