Journalists of Chernivtsi again accused top officials of local police of being closed to mass media

14.02.2018, 15:49
Journalists of Chernivtsi again complained bout the press service of the Chief Administration of National Police in Chernivetska oblast being closed to press, and their opinion is that the head of the oblast police administration Serhiy Piligrim bears responsibility for this situation. Mass media representatives appeal to Piligrim asking him “within the shortest possible term, to make all things possible to mend the situation with (not) sharing information with mass media employees”. This was the content of the letter of local journalists to Serhiy Piligrim, “Molodyi Bukovynets” reports. The journalists reminded that two years ago they sent a similar letter to Piligrim, but since then, in spite of Piligrim's promises to fix the problem, “the situation only got worse”. The journalists complain about press service not providing to journalists enough information, providing critical news information news, or even silencing the issues important for the general public.
