Journalists not allowed at session of budget committee

03.04.2013, 08:33
On March 26, 2013, representatives of the media were not allowed at the meeting of the Parliamentary Budget Committee, which was due to consider the redistribution of 1.7 billion, "Interfax-Ukraine" reported.

Despite the statements of first deputy chairman of the parliamentary budget committee Oksana Kaletnyk, who said that the press should be present at the meeting, parliament guards and the press service representatives did not let journalists at the meeting.

Kaletnyk stressed that journalists, who have a permanent accreditation in parliament, do not need any additional permission from the VR press office to attend open committee meetings.

"The meeting was open, so I do not understand why journalists were not allowed. We even sent a corresponding letter for the press press yesterday," - she said, adding that the problem was only with the media who did not have any permanent accreditation in parliament
