Journalist Volodymyr Mukan killed in action
Journalist and soldier Volodymyr Mukan was killed in Bakhmut while performing a combat mission, reports gazeta.ua, adding a link to his Facebook page.
The Taras Shevchenko Education and Research Institute of Philology at the KNU also reported Volodymyr's death.
"On April 29, 2023, Volodymyr Mukan, junior lieutenant of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, died heroically while performing a combat mission in Bakhmut," it writes.
Mukan last posted on Facebook on April 28.
Before the full-scale war, Volodymyr Mukan worked as a journalist and editor at the "Gazeta Po-Ukrainsky", the "Kraina" magazine, and the "Gazeta.ua".
He was a co-organizer of the largest retro festival in Ukraine, Old Car Land.
According to IMI, Volodymyr Mukan is the 56th media worker who died as a result of Russia's aggression.
