Serviceman, filmmaker, and journalist Kostyantyn Shtyfurak has been killed in action, reports the Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi Pedagogical University of Vinnytsia in a Facebook post.
Kostyantyn Shtyfurak (call sign “Filmmaker”) enlisted the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the summer of 2022 and served as a commander of a UAV unit. He served in the “Hornets of Hell” unit of the Hetman Ivan Mazepa mechanized brigade No. 54.
“In civilian life, Kostyantyn was a journalist and a filmmaker. He consciously stepped up to defend our Motherland in the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraineand remained in the ranks to the last, demonstrating his courage, resilience, integrity, and loyalty to Ukraine,” the University said in the statement.

Kostyantyn graduated the University’s history program and is the son of Volodymyr Shtyfurak, associate professor at the Department of Psychology and Social Work.
According to the Institute of Mass Information, Kostyantyn Shtyfurak is the 121st media worker to die in the course of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
