25.09.2017, 18:14
The correspondent of the TV channel “Ukraina” in Mariupol city (Donetska oblast) Tetiana Uralova recevies threats in the social network Facebook for her journalist activities, related to coverage of events in the ATO zone, and for her patriotic standing. This was reported by “Detector media”, with a reference to the press service of the TV channel. Tetiana Uralova regularly prepares materials from the front. The comments that offend her honor and dignity are under the journalist's Facebook entries. In particular, the comments state that she is "already in the lists for revenge". Also, the threatening comments state that her home address is known, so she is easy to find and kill. The comments also include derogatory comments about the journalist, Ukraine as a country and Ukrainian army. “I live and work in Mariupol all my life. Starting with 2014, I prepare mostly stories from ATO zone, I meet and communicate with our soldiers a lot, and with the veterans, too. I never tried to hide I am pro-Ukrainian, a patriot. And until recently, it never caused threats or mistreatments caused by my patriotism as far as I could tell. Yet since recently, I started receiving threats in social networks”, Tetiana Uralova said. TV channel "Ukraina" prepared an official complaint to the police about the threats to the journalist, related to performance of her occupational duties.
