MIA refused to provide newspaper with biography of general who develops websites' locking mechanism

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine refused to give the official biography of Director of the Department of policy making of government agencies controlled by the minister and monitoring of MIA of Ukraine Vasyl Bodnar. The Department primarily entrusted with drafting legislation to block sites on the Internet, according to the Secretariat of the Cabinet of Ministers. Ukrainski novyny (Ukrainian news) received this response from MIA on a request, reports "Detector Media".

"The writing of the official biographies is unforeseen by legal documents (Law of Ukraine" On Access to Public Information "- Ed.), thre is why we can't provide You with the official biography of Bodnar V.Y.,"- MIA wrote in response.

In addition, the agency notes that  "information of Bodnar life success is available for the public". Bodnar was the Deputy Minister, chief of the Central Investigation Department of the Internal Ministry and was Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs - chief of the Central Investigation Department in 2006-2007, during the government of Viktor Yanukovych.
