In the 9 months of this year, 177 mass media representatives were victims of criminal offences. This is the statistical data provided by the General Prosecutor’s Office to the people’s deputy Hennadiy Moskal, as the deputy’s site informs.

In total, in the 9 months, 411, 087 persons suffered from criminal offences in Ukraine, of them:

- from grave or especially grave crimes – 109, 786 persons;

- from homicide and attempted homicide – 3, 202 individuals;

- rapes 427; from deliberate severe bodily injuries – 2, 224 individuals: including 619 cases that ended in death of the victim;

- assaults with intent to rob – 2, 329; robberies – 18, 218; frauds – 38, 262; thefts – 201, 108.

- from crimes related to trafficking, or other illegal trafficking arrangements – 99;

- from traffic accidents – 11, 836;

- number of mass media employees who suffered from criminal offences – 177;

- employees of postal service – 191;

- medical doctors – 2, 431;

- senior citizens and disabled individuals of groups 1 and 2 – 30, 378;

- foreigners – 3, 940;

- heads of the enterprises – 2, 158;

- specialists working in the financial sphere – 1, 854;

- students: of high schools – 5, 989; of vocational schools – 2, 996;

- college and university students – 6, 164.
