In Sumy, Party of Regions member accused organizers of "Open Access" screening of provocations

In Sumy center of Party of Regions, they accuse the organizers of screening of the almanac “Open Access” in an attack against the party office. Natalia Sokolenko, the co-organizer and activist of the movement "Stop censorship!", informed about this.

According to her, the screening was planned in the office building at 61 Petropavlivska street, where one of the offices belongs to a local branch of the Party of Regions.

Yet, on the day of screening the organizers were informed that there was a blackout there, so they decided to hold the screening outdoors.

At the same time, the Party of Regions published on its website some materials about an attack being prepared against their office in Sumy. In the evening, according to Sokolenko, one of the deputies of the Party of Regions told the journalist about provocations by the screening organizers, his jacket smeared with an egg.

Yet, according to the activist, the screening organizers neither threw any eggs, nor provoked or planned an attack against the office of the “Party of Regions”. Around 250 persons came to see the almanac at Soborna Street near the monument to Taras Shevchenko, she added.
