In Severodonetsk, city council member and owner of local newspaper was murdered

In the night on the eve of November 3, head of the faction of "Bloc of Petro Poroshenko” of Severodonetsk city council (Luhanska oblast), advisor of the city mayor, Serhiy Samarskyi, was assassinated. This was reported to LIGA.net by the speaker of Chief Administration of National Police in Luhanska oblast Tetiana Pogukai. “Yes, he was killed, I will tell details later”, she said. As the media outlet reports with reference to its own sources, police officers found Samarskyi's body about 01:00 A.M. near Youth Construction Complex Mriya in Severodonetsk, his head was smashed. As IMI reported before, the member of Severodonetsk city council from the presidential bloc Serhiy Samarskyi was the owner of online media outlet “Severodonetskie strasti” (prav-da.com.ua). In the register of printed media outlets, there is also newspaper “Prav-Da!”, and Samarskyi is indicated as its founder. In his interview fo Ukrinform on February 7, Samarskyi called himself a journalist.
