In Dnipropetrovsk, police officers prohibited journalists to film them

23.06.2014, 23:30

On June 22, in Dnipropetrovsk  police officers prohibited the blogger and journalist of the newspaper «Zoria» Viacheslav Poyizdnyk to film them during the activists’ action on exposure of illegal gambling parlors. They explained the prohibition by the considerations of their privacy. They were not content with his journalist ID and demanded that he showed them an editorial assignment and insisted that they did not want him to film them, although they were wearing the uniforms and thus on official and overt duty. According to their insignia, they were from Kirovsky Rayon Police Department in Dnipropetrovsk. They did not engage with him physically.
