In Antratsyt, civil activist and newspaper editor Victor Danchenko was abducted

On June 20, in Antratsyt (Luhanska oblast) armed men abducted a lawyer, leader of the NGO «Protection of Drivers’ Rights», and editor of the newspaper «Avtoturyst» Victor Danchenko. According to the head of Luhanska oblast branch of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine Oleksiy Svetikov, armed men smashed the office of Danchenko’s organization, took away office equipment, and broke the furniture.

Danchenko was released by his captors on the next day but he refused to share what they wanted from him as he believes he and his co-workers at the lawyer firm are still in danger.
