IMI's Mediabaza to supply safety gear for journalists working in Chernihiv's border areas
The IMI's regional hub Mediabaza Chernihiv has opened a new remote access point in Snovsk, Chernihiv oblast.
Journalists who plan to work in the border area will have access to safety equipment such as bulletproof vests, helmets and first-aid kits. They will also be able to use a power bank, a laptop and a cozy workplace that offers coffee.
"We base our work primarily on journalists' needs. We have collected requests from media representatives, and one of the proposed ideas was to provide the journalists working near the border with a place to quickly process and prepare materials. Moreover, everyone understands the dangers of working in border areas, so the access point is also equipped with all the necessary gear. To arrange this, we attracted additional resources. We thank our partners from the Snovsk Youth Council for their support," said the Mediabaza Chernihiv coordinator Pavlo Pushchenko.

The work is carried out by the Mediabaza hub in Chernihiv and supported by the US Embassy as part of the project "Supporting the activities of local media of the Chernihiv oblast".
