IMI and Kyiv School of Economics to host training “Covid-19 in Ukraine: rules for coverage of illness outbreaks ”
The Institute of Mass Information and the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE) invite journalists and staff of public press services to the training course “Covid-19 in Ukraine. Rules for coverage of illness outbreaks. ”
When: March 10 (Tue) 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm, Kyiv.

Speakers: representative of the World Health Organization in Ukraine Jarno Habicht, media expert IMI Olena Golub, infectious diseases doctors, media lawyers, experts of the edition Texts on Botnets and Misinformation.
In connection with the detection of the first case of coronavirus disease (strain Covid-19) in Ukraine, IMI organizes an immediate training for journalists and staff of state press services.
Training participants will learn about:
-international rules on coverage of epidemies outbreaks;
-correct terminology;
-work with personal data;
-how to check information;
-current journalistic investigations on coronavirus botnets;
-how to properly deal with crisis situations.
In addition, the leading WHO and UNICEF medical experts will be consulted.
