Hackers access the website of the Kyiv Oblast Council, leave a message for Zelensky
Hackers accessed the website of the Kyiv Oblast Council on November 2, causing it to stop working, reports the Oblast Council on Facebook.
The hackers uploaded an image of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, to the home page, with a caption in Russian: "Zelensky!!!! Attention!!! We are already here!!! Details soon!!!", says the Oblast Council acting head, Yaroslav Dobryansky.
According to him, a statement to the cyber police is being prepared in order to identify the perpetrators of the attack and bring them to justice.
He added that the website hosts public information for the purpose of updating the citizens about the work of the Kyiv Oblast Council. The attack also completely paralyzed the Oblast Council Apparatus, since not only the official website, but also the servers were hacked and the employees had limited access to their computers.
"There is a risk of data having been stolen, including classified data," wrote Dobryansky.
Technicians are working to restore the website.
