Expert board on media functioning at election time affiliated to National council on TV and radio broadcasting has been elected

On the 1st of February, the public council affiliated to the National council on television and radio broadcasting elected the Expert board on mass media functioning at election period, as to the web-site of the National commission. 11 representatives from different media institutions became members of the Expert board. Natalia Klitna was appointed Coordinator of the Expert Board. 15 candidate applications were filed, but the Public council decided to the expert body has to be composed of 11 persons. The main task of the Expert board is to contribute to respect by the mass media of the election law and journalistic ethics. The members of the Expert board are: -Olena Andrienko, lawyer, psychologist, member of professional media associations; -Olga Bolshakova, recommended by the Independent association of TV broadcasters; -Oleksander Borisenko, recommended by Media Initiative “For human rights”; -Natalia Klitna, recommended by the Association of content providers; -Olena Lubcvhenko, lawyer of the TV channel Ukraina; -Lubov Naydenova, psychologist, deputy director of the Institute of social and political psychology of the national academy of Ukraine; -Iryna Skrypka, lawyer, expert of advertisement sphere; -Andriy Solomakha, recommended by “Ukrainian association of communities broadcasting”; -Irryna Stroyko, lawyer for Studio 1+1 TV channel; -Oleksnader Chekmyshev, recommended by Foundation Souspilnist; -Svitlana Chunikhina, recommended by the management board of the Association of political psychologists of Ukraine. The next sitting is to be held on the 8th of February 2019, at 11 a.m.
