EU to support Ukraine in countering misinformation

The European Union will continue to support Ukraine in countering misinformation, in particular from Russia. This is said in a statement following the Ukraine-EU summit in Brussels as Europeska Pravda reported.

"The EU will continue to support Ukraine in countering hybrid threats and tackling disinformation, including through strengthening of independent media, media literacy strategic communications, in order to strengthen Ukraine’s resilience," the statement said.

The document emphasized that disinformation campaigns targeting the EU and Ukraine were carried out by Russia. 

In addition, the EU has agreed to launch a format of dialogue with Ukraine on cyber security. Now the EU has such a format with only the six most important countries, Ukraine will be the seventh.
