Editor from Lutsk received suspicious call after publishing Facebook entry

02.08.2017, 17:44
The editor-in-chief of the online media outlet «Volyn24» Yuriy Rychuk received a phone call with threats after publishing a Facebook entry about the head of the board of Ihor Palytsia Fund «Tilky razom» Oleksandr Tovsteniuk. The man who called did not introduce himself, but hinted that if Rychuk "does not think what he writes" he might be forced "to write about a wheel-chair". This was reported by regional IMI representative in Volynska oblast. The editor thinks that this call was caused by his recent Facebook entry. In the evening of July 30, the head of the board of Ihor Palytsia Fund "Tilky Razom" OleksandrTovsteniuk was detained for drunk driving. On July 31, Yuriy Rychuk shared the news about Tovsteniuk, adding: «Now someone will launch a flash-mob I_am_with_tovsteniuk. I will then make a news that the vice-oligarch’s supporters collect funds for his Alka-Seltzer». On August 1, Yuriy Rychuk published his dialog with the anonymous man in the social network Facebook. The editor also published an audio record of the conversation to identify the caller. The editor added that if something bad happens to him, he and his relatives will blame the caller and the one who instructed him to do this.
