In the Verkhovna Rada, there is a registered draft that aims to enable the Ministry of Information Policy to place orders to TV companies to produce counter-propaganda programs to broadcast them on the territories of Ukraine under temporary occupation and in the Internet, Мediasapiens reports. Draft №7299 “On amendment of the Law of Ukraine “On Television and Radio Broadcasting” about informational safety and counteraction to propaganda of the aggressor state” was registered on November 16 by people's deputies from the Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information policy Viktoria Siumar, Olena Kondratiuk and Olha Chervakova. In addition to the mentioned right to order counter-propaganda materials, the authors propose to enable the National Public TV and Radio Company  of Ukraine, based on their board decision, not to broadcast any events, including entertainment ones, that can include elements of propaganda and threaten the informational safety of Ukraine. Next year, Soccer World Championship will be held in Russia, the media outlet adds - and this law can enable the National Company not to broadcast the materials from this event on legal bases.
