"Detector Media" system administrator Vladyslav Dzikovsky, who had been missing since December, killed in action
Private, senior armored vehicle machine gunner who served in the Serhiy Kulchytsky operational battalion of the National Guard of Ukraine, Vladyslav Dzikovsky, was killed in Luhansk oblast in December 2022.
Vlad's wife, Diana Dzikovska, confirmed this information to the Detector Media.
Vladyslav was born on January 19, 1976, and died at the age of 46.
On March 23, 2022, Vlad enlisted, receiving the rank of senior private. According to his wife, after the start of the full-scale war, Vlad went to the enlistment office three times.
"They put him in the reserve, and he became terribly angry. He had no desire to stay at home, he wanted to be useful. That's why he went to the local TDF. Patrolled the block with other guys. In the meantime, he was making trips to the enlistment office. Finally, they accepted him. Vlad did not have any combat experience, he had not served in the army before. He grew up in a family of officers, and was an athlete until the age of 24. He disliked pathos terribly, and took all pompous talk ironically. And when I asked him if he was ready to go to war, he answered that he had made his decision," Diana said.
Head of the NGO "Detector Media", Nataliya Ligachova. said that Vlad was reliable, professional, shy and very calm: "As a system administrator, he was our team's anchor for many years: he gave us all a sense of safety and stability. And that will forever remain in my memory. I knew that Vlad would help out with any equipment problem that occurred. I would call him even late at night sometimes, when he was home already, and he would always find a way to fix the issue even remotely, with no nervousness, taking his time, reassuring me."
"In the normal working pace, you rarely think about something deep in the people around you, your colleagues. But now that I think about it, it is Ukrainians like Vlad who are reliable and completely devoid of pompousness in everyday life, and who defended our Ukraine and each of us from the onslaught of Russian barbarians. Bright and long memory to Vlad, deep condolences to his entire family. We will prevail, thanks to the truth and strength of the best of us, who will always remain in our hearts," Natalia Ligachova wrote.
Vlad was a system administrator at the "Detector Media" for over 10 years. He is survived by his mother, wife, and two sons.
Vladyslav Dzikovsky's wake will take place in Kyiv on April 14 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Michael's Cathedral (Tryokhsvyatytelska Street, 8). Vlad will be buried at the Lisove Cemetery.
As the IMI reported, in March, Detector Media wrote that Vlad had gone missing in December 2022 during a battle between Kreminna and Serebryanka, Luhansk oblast.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, Vlad came to the editorial office to move the servers and other equipment necessary for the work of the NGO and its websites to a safe place.
