Defense Ministry: Media reports on the planned dismissal of three UAF commanders are untrue
The Ukrainian Ministry of Defense says that the media reports about the planned dismissal of three UAF commanders are untrue.
The Ministry reported this on Facebook.
The department remarked that it "does not comment on rumors or unverified information."
"Our response to all inquiries from the media: the Ministry of Defense does not comment on rumors or unverified information. Everyone works as usual, all decisions are discussed in coordination with the General Staff. The information reported by several media outlets is untrue," the Ministry of Defense said, urging the people to observe information hygiene.
It will be recalled that on November 13, "Ukrainian Pravda" reported that the Ministry of Defense was considering dismissing three UAF commanders, citing their own sources in the military command and political leadership. According to UP's sources, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov is preparing to apply for the dismissal of the UAF Medical Forces commander, Tetyana Ostashchenko, the commander of the Operational and Strategic Group of Forces "Tavria", Oleksandr Tarnavsky, and the commander of the UAF United Forces, Serhiy Nayev.
Several other media outlets shared this report, citing "Ukrainian Pravda". Namely, "Dzerkalo Tyzhnia", NV, "Korespondent", etc.
As IMI reported, in November, the UAF Commander-in-Chief, Valeriy Zaluzhny warned that an impostor was texting to certain famous people with requests and proposals of a discrediting and provocative nature, pretending to be him.
