Court in Crimea extended arrest to civil journalist Arifmemetov
The controlled by Russia Supreme Court in Crimea extended arrest to civil journalist, who was an actor in the second Simferopol case of “Hizb ut-Tahrir” Osman Arifmemetov until September 15. This was reported by his attorney Oleksiy Ladin, Krym.Realii reportes, with a reference to “Crimean Solidarity” as a source.
On March 27, 2019, Russian enforcers in Crimea conducted searches in the houses of Crimean Tatar activists, in particular, activists of civil association “Crimean Solidarity”. In total, they detained 24 activists, accusing them of participating in organization "Hizb ut-Tahrir" which is banned in Russia and in Crimea occupied by it. Edem Yayachykov disappeared, his location is unknown since March 27. Later, one more suspect, Rayim Aivazov, was detained.
