Court commissioned Cxid.info Lugansk web site to refute question in headline

On January 23, 2013, the Kreminsky District Court of Lugansk Oblast declared unreliable and undermining the authority of the Kreminsky District Council (Lugansk Oblast) the statements published on Sxid.info web site on October 18, 2012, the Institute for Regional Press Development (IRPD) reported.
The lawsuit against the edition was filed by the Kreminsky District State Administration. The court ordered the defendants - journalist Iryna Chornobay and owners of Cxid.info web site (Cxid Media Holding Ltd.) - to refute the information circulated in the article "Music school evicted to free the premise for officials in the district center in Luhansk Oblast?” by publishing the resolution part of the ruling on Cxid.info web-site.
The Court agreed with the plaintiff that "the facts mentioned in the article were stated one-sidedly and were not true, cause a significant harm to the state interest and undermine the authority of local government." This conclusion of court applies only to the question in the article’s headline.
"Questions of journalists are socially significant. They express the concern of citizens about the fate of their music school. In court, witnesses confirmed that there were rumors in Kreminna about an eviction of the music school "- IRPD media lawyer Liudmila Pankratova believes.
