Court blocked review of the license renewal for "Radio Vesti"

Kharkiv District Administrative Court ruled to suspend the review of the  license renewal for "radio Vesti" (LLC "Teleradiovydavnycha company" Master"") in Kharkiv by National Council on Television and Radio. The court banned National Council to make decision on license extention and prohibited announcing a contest for Kharkiv frequency of "Radio Vesti".

The Deputy Chairman of the National Council Uliana Feshchuk reported about it during a meeting of the National Council on 23 February.
The judge of Kharkiv District Administrative Court Nataliya Poliakh issued ruling to impose injunctive relief yesterday, February 22. According to Feshchuk, the decision, almost word for word, recalls the decision of Frankivsk district court of Lviv on case of Kyiv frequency of "Radio Vesti" (LLC "TRC"Wonderworld"").

However ,Feshchuk noted that the essence of the claim is different. In the case of Kyiv "Radio Vesti" claimant, a resident of Lviv Nadiya Bondarev, said that her rights had been violated by radio content. In Kharkiv "Radio Vesti" case plaintiff, a resident of Kharkiv Stanislav Sarioglo, believes that the National Council had violated his rights when redrafted the license of LLC "Teleradiovydavnycha company" Master"" as "Radio Vesti" in 2014.

The National Council followed Uliana Feshchuk suggestion and decided to adjourn consideration of requests for licenses renewal for Kyiv and Kharkiv "Radio Vesti" on the evening, February 23. Deputy Chairman of the National Council wants to study the court files and verify the judicial decision.

Recall, on February 15, Frankivsk district court of Lviv, ruled the National Council to stop the proceedings of approval the kicense renewal for Kyiv "Radio Vesti" (LLC "TRC Wonderful World"), banned National Council to decide on the application for license renewal and prohibited to announce a competition for Kyiv frequency "Radio Vesti". Nowб the National Council challenges this ruling.
