City council on Zakarpattia denied journalist access to information

Vynohradiv city council in Zakarpatska oblast denied journalist of Zakarpattia information agency "Holos Karpat" Olena Mudra in accessing public domain information. This was reported on the website of the media outlet.

According to the publication, the journalist requested procedures implemented and funds used for two projects of the Programs of Transborder Construction with total value over 2 million 148 thousand Euro, which is being implemented by the city council communal enterprise “Center for investments and development”.

In the response as of July 16, the city council answered that “repeated request from the same person on the same question are not considered”.

The journalist also claims in her Facebook publication that entities who have information of the project refuse to provide this information stating that the grant agreement is confidential.
