Snovsk city council of Chernihivska oblast plans to consider, at the session of March 23, the issue of amending article 18 of the city council standing order, according to which the work of the session can be covered only by accredited mass media. At that, video- and photo recording of the session using any devices is allowed only if session participants are warned in advance and consent to this. This is in the draft of resolution of Snovsk city council, published at the website of the city council.
Media lawyer of IMI Maksym Ratushnyi considers the proposed amendments a limitation imposed on work of mass media, and, also, non-compliant to the requirements of the legislation in effect.
