Chernomorka TV and radio company targeted by cyber attack

14.08.2019, 14:12
The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), in cooperation with the ”Chernomorka” TV and Radio Company, countered the effects of cyberattacks against broadcasting its server, as Interfax-Ukraine reported referring to the SBU's Facebook page. “The SBU officials have determined that cyberattack was aimed to block and disable all key elements of broadcast control, backing-up and reserved tools. The malefactors got control over the TV server equipment of the broadcasting company through malicious software and made inoperative the system, ”- as SBU reported on its Facebook  page. SBU localized the cyberattack and countered its negative impact on the broadcast server of the company. Functioning of the TV and radio company has now been fully redressed and together with SBU specialists they develop a more robust system to protect server hardware from unauthorized interference.
