Boryspol: Head of the maternity department attacked journalists

According to the channel, the head began to push the crew out from the department, caused injuries to journalists and operator. He also broke the light on the camera.

Channel film crew went to the hospital to interview the head doctor of the medical institution. The channel formally agreed the meeting, upon official request. The meeting was about bribery in the hospital. Because channel received information about it the day before.

"The journalists decided to talk to mothers, while they were waiting for a chief of hospital. This is when the head of the maternity ward noticed them. The doctor began to push the crew, caused injuries to journalists and operator Nazar Melnyk. In addition, he had broken light on the camera," - the story says.

Chief editor of the project Mar'iana Hayduchyk said that they were trying to resolve the conflict that arose between the crew and doctor. "I stood before the cameras, the doctor grabbed my wrist and started to break my hand. The guys stood up for me, but the doctor did not stop the aggression, "- she said.

The chief of the hospital apologized to the crew for actions of his colleague, but journalists appealed to the police.

According to police,on February 9, police Kyiv region received a report, that one of the health workers prevents the filming and apply physical force against journalists and operator.

"Investigative team of Boryspil police arrived on the scene and found that one of the doctors prevented the legitimate professional activities of journalists and damaged the light on the camera. Currently, there is investigation of all the circumstances of the accident, "- statement said.
