Belarusian journalist arrested for 15 days for second time

Belarusian journalist Olena Dovnar has been arrested again for 15 days after being detained at the Women's March on September 26, as the Belarusian Association of Journalists 9BAJ) reported.

The journalist was supposed to be released from the pre-trial detention center on October 11, but the court arrested her for another 15 days.

"It is unknown where and when the trial took place. Yesterday, Olena Dovnar was brought from the pre-trial detention center in Baranavichy to Okrestsin Street for another trial, ” the message said.

Olena Dovnar was detained on September 26 during a women's march in Minsk. Two protocols were drawn up then: according to Art. 23.4 (Resistance to police) and 23.34 (Participation in an unauthorized mass event) of the Administrative Code.

As IMI reported, on September 29, The Zhovtnevyy court in Minsk, Belarus, arrested Olena Dovnar, journalist and member of the Belarusian Association of Journalists, for 15 days for resisting arrest and participation in an unauthorized rally.
