Avdiivka is now in the "red zone": no entry for the media
Avdiivka (Donetsk oblast) is now in the "red zone". Volunteers, journalists, and other civilians are now forbidden to enter the city.
This was announced by the head of the Avdiivka City Military Administration Vitaliy Barabash.
"Avdiivka is in the 'red zone'. Therefore, it is forbidden for representatives of the press, even ones with accreditation, to visit or enter the city. Same applies to volunteers," he said.
Barabash cited an order which directly bans visiting the city.
As IMI reported, the division of the front line and the border areas into three working zones for journalists will be revised weekly. The issue of granting the media access to any specific spot in the "red zone" for covering a situation that requires it will also be considered promptly.
